Sawn Timber

Malham Show 2007

Timber, sawn on the farm, drying.

Hollin Wood, in Ravenroyd Farm, contains oak, sycamore, beech, birch, larch, pine and various other types of wood.

The wood is being gradually thinned and replanted, under a Woodland Grant Scheme, arranged by the Forestry Commission, in order to restore and improve it.

Timber is felled as part of this thinning process and sawn on the farm on our Logosol saw bench, which can currently saw logs of 5m length by 50cm diameter.

The farm welcomes interest from timber users of all sizes, who think that our Bingley-grown timber may meet their requirements.
