We are a small, but very friendly, group which opened at the end of summer 2006.

The group meets on a Thursday after school, when weather permitting our young people ride or they do some stable management if not. Anyone wishing to find out more about the group’s riding lessons should contact our instructor Tracy (purpletracy@hotmail.co.uk) .

The aim of the Riverside Group is to enable all our riders to achieve their full potential; this can be from simple Grade tests to competing at their chosen discipline. Some of our riders also compete at local level against able-bodied riders. However, our most important aim is to ensure all have fun riding and enjoy themselves.

The group can only run with the help of volunteers who can give time on a Thursday between 3pm and 6pm. We are very grateful to those who help but we are always in need of more volunteers. Volunteering could involve, grooming, tacking up, setting up equipment, leading, side walking, untacking or helping clear away. It is a very rewarding experience. If you would like to know more or would like to volunteer please contact Tracy by email (purpletracy@hotmail.co.uk) .

We are a charitable organisation which relies on donations and grants but mainly on fund raising. We hold events throughout the year but our highlight is the Annual Winter Ball, which is always enjoyed by all.
